on the ninja class. my friend wants to use one for our campaign we are starting tommorow and i need to know whether it (in your opinion) has any problems that need fixing, or whether it should be banned altogether. i am going to read and decide myself i just need to know whether he should write up a character sheet or go with a diffrent character for now

Yes, Ninjas are uber, in all forms, ever, and should be banned. From existence.

Just like posts like the first post in this thread should be.

On a serious note, no, the Ninja class from CAdv is not broken, nor does it need any fixes. If anything, it is less powerful than the Rogue class, which is IMHO the most well balanced class in D&D.

Nah ...

I haven't DM'ed a ninja, but I do see it have enough faults to make it playable.

Low hit dice - melee fighter. It's a flavored rogue.

It is fine. Don't forget Ghost Step is not the spell invisbility; it is the status of invisibility (just like the Invisible Stalker) and so does not go visible when it attacks. It is comparable to 1 round of Improved Invisibility but not a spell.
