It occurs to me that, while it seems like a mechanic that would exist, there is no way to feint in combat and make your opponent flat-footed against an ally's attack. So a couple of questions:

1. Does such a thing exist?

2. If it doesn't, would it be overpowered if it did?

The closest thing that I can think of is the Improved Surprise feat from Green Ronin's Black Company Campaign Setting.

Why in God's name would you WANT to?

I am pretty sure the answer is no. The closest I can think of would be the Aid Another attack on page 154 of the PHB.

However, I do like this idea. I could imagine a big fighter type character grappling an enemy, so the rogue could get a clean shot at his vital spots/organs. Then again, you get your sneak attack damage and a +2 to attacks when you flank, so maybe this was why they put the flank bonuses in the game?

If your Feint score is through the roof but your comrade's attacks/damage are way better.

You can certainly add +2 to a comrade's feint attempt with Aid Another, but that's not what you're looking for.

As a DM, I'd probably rule that you'd need an additional feat to apply to feint to someone else, but that you could then do so with any two fighters in an active melee.

Said big fighter could do this by, oh, actually grappling the enemy, of course.

Only Martial Manuevers can do this.
1st level Diamond Mind: Sapphire Nightmare Blade can do this is Concentration check can equal or exceed targets AC while doing a single melee attack (penalty if fail), but succeed means enemy flat footed for all and you deal +1d6 damage.

So the three ways:
1. Warblade level 1
2. Swordsage Level 1
3. Martial Study Feat giving you one manuever (choose this one) 1/encounter; you can't recover it unlike the three classes in the book: Tome of Battle-Book of Nine Sword

I'm having a problem. I am looking at the .pdf version of Tome of Battle, p. 65, and my Sapphire Nightmare Blade says nothing about other people; it says that the target is flat-footed "against your attack"--is your text different?
