Doesd anyone got a class, like the clearic, exept that all the spells are based on thier domain?

On other words, a cleric with the healing and sun domains have a COMPLETLY different spellist than a cleric with the Evil and Destruction domains...

have'nt seen one around in the past. Nice idea though but a lot of work and it would be a cleric anymore :)

i sometimes think about redoing 2E spheres.but i dont think theres enough spells to do it right.if i did it id
A.need to give clerics alot of domains which means less focus.
B.have at least 2 spells per domain.

my suggestion is start working like this.
pick 2 spells per domains.
give clerics 3 to choose.
then cut down the core cleric list(the all sphere) to 2-4 spells/level.mostly the alingment stuff and summons.

Sure, just make sure you require Wizards and sorcerers to be specialists and nerf down the druids spell list equally.

You could go with all domains of your particualr god and that would make them stick to a theme and give a power spread between stronger and weaker gods (that sort of built in disparity works best with NPC). There was a precurser to the favoured soul from a dragon magazine that had spells known like a sorcerer plus domains picked up at intervals of 5 levels.

The Favored Soul is kind of like that, except you would have to make up your own domains and just choose spells based on those flavors, since they actually get no domains. They just get a few spells, and spontaneously cast them.

So the opposite of what you are looking for is probably what you are looking for.

I tried to make a class once, basically, you could spontatiously cast spells from your domain, not from the cleric list. you would start out with 3 domains, which your chosen deity would have. at 5 level and every 5 levels you would gain access to a new domain, plus all the powers given. That was the idea, and to make it easy, the dm could allow the player to choice some extra domains that the deity didn't have, like Healing, Knowledge, Magic, Travel and Good/Evil/Law/Chaos. Its kind of hard to explain.
Basically I called this call the Archon, and he got d8 hitpoints, Good Will saves, all simple weapons, 4 skill points, and Light Armour. He also got turn undead, and lay on hands. The actually spellcasting stat (wisdom, charisma or Intelligence) I hadn't thought of. I you like it, I post it as a new thread, but otherwise, I'll let it be.
