I'm just wondering if any of you people had a non-broken to hell gunner class of some sort?
Stats for the guns would be muchly appreciated.

Fighter.

Seriously. If you want a gunner-based variant, alter the proficiencies and pick the right feats (which you may need to write yourself since D&D assumes guns aren't developed).

Gun stats for some basic firearms show up in the DMG; more expanded rules -- and exactly the ones you're likely looking for show up in the d20 Modern line of books, or potentially the Star Wars d20 ones.

Before anyone opposes me on principle, think of it this way:
A base class that focuses on greatsword use? Fighter with greatsword feats. No one disputes this.
By extension, a base class that focuses on [weapon] use? Fighter. Maybe Ranger if that weapon is a bow or two weapons, but all the ranger does with this in mind is give you fighter feats.

The whole Focus On Weapons thing is a function of feats. Fighters get the right feats. DEEPER focus on a particular weapon is usually a prestige class (like the old Weapon Master or Lasher).

This does not need a new class. It may need new feats, or simply importing those from the d20 Modern game, but it doesn't need a new class.

Right now I'm in a chronomancy campaign that has us zipping backward and forward through time, so firearms are a definite draw.

Some good books for gun feats and skills are Steam & Sorcery and any Dragonstar books you can find. Talk with your DM, because mine just let most all archery feats apply to firearms after I got the technical proficiency feat. Some don't apply (many shot), and some do really well (Bowslinger -> Gunslinger). Dragonstar has some good prestige classes and duling schools, so check 'em out. Steam & Sorcery has lots of good stats for guns.

Hope that helps. If you want more info, let me know.

Ranger, wherever the weapon style feats say "bow" replace with "Gun" Make minor modifications as needed (like manyshot would probably require two weapons to do)

What kind of guns do you want to use? If it's pistols, I'd use the gunslinger class from d20 modern.

As a general FYI, stats for rudimentaru pistol and rifle stats are in DMG 3.5 (pg.145).
If your willing to go 3rd party, the Sword and Sorcery Ravenloft setting (by White Wolf) has a Pistoleer class in the book Van Richten's Arsenal Vol.1. It's appropriate for a low-renaissance tech level campaign. This is a 3.0 product, so some of the info is out of date, but it's a good start.
