| Salla09-10-06, 05:15 PM | I have a Dragon Magazine, printed back during the 3.0-3.5 revision, which had Holy Warriors for every non-evil alignment (Paladin being the Holy Warrior for lawful good, for example). |
| pokemaniacbill09-10-06, 05:16 PM | I WISH I had Dragon. *puts on the birthday list* |
| PhaedrusXY09-10-06, 05:22 PM | The Soldier of Light prestige class was basically a neutral good Prestige Palladin. It was in either Faiths and Pantheons or Deities and Demigods I think. |
| pokemaniacbill09-10-06, 05:23 PM | I sort of remember him, but I'm looking for a base class someone might've created on the boards. And I can't seem to look with a search function, if it's here I can't find it. |
| PhaedrusXY09-10-06, 05:25 PM | Use google, and do a restricted domain search. The actual search function of the boards has been down forever... Edit: Stick this in with your google search terms: site:community.wizards.com |
| Tequila_Sunrise09-10-06, 06:22 PM | You could go with the simple solution and just drop the lawful requirement of the core paladin class. |
| Azzy09-10-06, 06:25 PM | I WISH I had Dragon. *puts on the birthday list* Subscribe, it's worth it. :) The afore-mentioned paladin variants were in issue 310 (http://paizo.com/dragon/products/issues/2003/310), and though it's out of print, you can still order a PDF copy of it for $4.95. There were evil paladin variants, in issue 312 (http://paizo.com/dragon/products/issues/2003/312)--which is still in print. |
| pokemaniacbill09-10-06, 06:26 PM | Nope. Honestly, I think that there should be legitimate tweaking towards a Knight serving the Greater Good. Easy =/= better. |
| pokemaniacbill09-10-06, 06:27 PM | Thanks for the link to the site, by the way. I had posted before I read it. |
| Azzy09-10-06, 09:18 PM | Thanks for the link to the site, by the way. I had posted before I read it. Heh, no prob. Glad I could be helpful. :) |
| aelryinth09-10-06, 09:36 PM | The original NG paladin variant was the Myrikhaan, sort of a NG Holy Ranger. Way back in the Dragon magazine with the 9 paladins. MMM...and this is all from memory! Paladin Myrikhaan Garesh? - CG Lyan - LN (Lord, these guys were MONSTERS) Paramander/Paramnadyer (TN) Farath? (CN) Think Aholy Mongol Hordesman. Illrigger (these guys were nasty - unholy Paladin assassins!) Aarikhaan - NE (Unholy Ranger/Reavers) Anti-Paladin ===Aelryinth |
| Demonwolf09-10-06, 11:15 PM | you have a bunch of options- a) Any number of prestige classes from CD. Hospitaler, Pious Templar and Divine Crusader come to mind. Also, the Divine Champion from player's guide to faerun/FRCS. Also from CD, the true believer feat. b) The Crusader from Tome of Battle. c) Cleric/Fighter/Warpriest, Favored Soul, Favored Soul/Fighter/Warpriest, Ranger/Fighter, so on... d) Discuss a variant with your DM. e) The paladin from WoW CS (requirement is any good) and the Champion from Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved. Both 3rd party, but it's worth a shot. f) Battle Sorc from UA or Sorc/EK with the celestial sorcerer feats from PHB II. h) Get off on a technicality. Talk to your DM about a pally who is constrained by a personal code and is LG accordingly, but is indifferent to society's laws. i) The Divine Mind or the Illumine Soul from Complete Psionic. |
