| Spartan210704-08-05, 11:19 PM | Anyone Know of any primary mount riding class. Any one made one that i can use? |
| Nayk04-08-05, 11:32 PM | Paladin is mounted Ranger/Druid can easily be mounted with his animal companion Check also halfing druid variant in races of the wild (they got bonuses with their mounts) A fighter with appropriate skills and feats make a really good mounted combatant Also, if you want a mount outside druid/ranger/paladin which get bonuses with higher levels, I highly suggest you to get the feat "wild cohort" which you can find on the wotc website. It would permit you to have your mount augment so as not to get a horse that is easily killed ;) Hope that help. Y@ |
| Kaligrad04-08-05, 11:48 PM | I know there is at least one prestige class in the Complete Warrior who specializes in being mounted. As for core classes, who's better than the one who comes with a mount class feature? |
| JMD99904-09-05, 10:57 AM | there are always the halfling outrider(complete warrior) and the wild plains outrider(complete adventurer)prestige classes, although the WPO is only 3 levels and not all that great. The halfling outrider is pretty cool and a paladin halfling would be very interesting, although you dont have to go paladin.... |
| Insane Pixie04-09-05, 11:08 AM | Additionally in Complete Warrior is the Cavalier, who is the epitome of the knight in shining armor. He focuses on charging into battle with longsword and lance, and deals additional damage with the lance, as a class feature. |
| FangsofChaos04-09-05, 12:24 PM | Fighter + Mounted Combat + Ranks in Ride + Spirited Charge + Lance = Crazy Damage |
| Father Dale04-09-05, 12:40 PM | Paladin + special mount + spirited charge + heavy lance + smite evil + divine might = super crazy damage But to answer the OP's question, these prestige classes focus on mounted combat: Cavlier (Comp. Warrior) - classic knight, bonuses to riding and attacking while mounted, deals lots of damage on charges and can full attack after moving on a mount Halfling Outrider (Comp. Warrior)- a dex based mount class, high maneuverability Wild Plains Outrider (Comp. Adventurer) - 3 lvl PRC for paladins or ranger/druids with animal companion mounts, can eventually take full attack while moving while mounted And also Dragonrider (Draconomicon) for having dragon mounts. Theres another Dragonrider class from the Dragonlance campaign setting thats different than this one. |
| BW022204-09-05, 06:05 PM | Druid + tiger + animal growth + pounce = a bad day for any medium-sized creature. |
| cannywizard04-09-05, 07:54 PM | Can any charcter be mounted if they want? (images of a cackling wizard on a nightmare spring to mind) |
| Big Tom04-09-05, 08:59 PM | Can any charcter be mounted if they want? (images of a cackling wizard on a nightmare spring to mind) In theory anyone can take get on a mount and ride it. Any character can take ranks in Ride to get better at it. If you want to play a character with a mount, then you can without a problem. |
