Complete Warrior says that a bear warrior can transform into a bear while in rage/frenzy, number of times only limited by the number of times he enters rage/frenzy, and he reverts back at the end of the rage.

Then a couple paragraphs later it says that a bear warrior can transform once per day, and next paragraph ups it to 2/day at 7th level.

I have to assume there was a rule change during editing, and it wasn't implemented correctly, some of the old text left in. Unless I'm missing something.

Since the bear warriors only class feature, combat oriented anyways, is the ability to assume bear forms during rage, I'd rule that unless the player doesn't want to assume bear form whenever he enters rage/frenzy he assumes bear form. Otherwise it seems like a real waste of 10 levels, espcially considering 5 of the bear warriors levels don't give you anything.

You miss my point I believe, or I miss yours. The 2 statements I posted above conflict. One says you can transform into a bear every time you rage, the other says 1/day. When I see apparently contradictory statements in the rules I look deeper to see if there's something I'm missing. If I still can't figure it out, I post here or ask someone else.

Thanks Hat, that bears out (sorry) my initial suspicions.
