Goth 02-14-05, 08:59 PM	I'm running a new game, and I've got someone wanting to play a ranger, but he just doesn't see his guy with an animal companion when he reaches 4th level. The group is thinking an extra feat would be an suitable substitute, but I wanted to get a bit more feedback from others. So... What would be an equal, fair replacement for a ranger's animal companion at level 4?
thefuzzzybear 02-14-05, 09:07 PM	not a feat, i mean you basically get another player, with some nice things if the player plays it right, and why cant he see himself with an animal companion, i mean it doesn't have to be a wolf or other land animal it can be a hawk, or eagle, or if you will allow it, a minor magical animal, like a shocker lizard, and what not. but a sub, maybe a mount, or more spells. i dont know. hard to say.
