Aranea Druid [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-26-06, 07:19 PM My character in a homebrew campaign is an Aranea that was taken into an Elven community at such a young age while in Humanoid form (it's supposed to be Human, but we took a liberty and made it Elf) that he thinks he's actually an Elf with a strange gift. Naturally, he became a druid.

Now, eventually he's going to figure out that he's not actually an Elf and that his strange powers come from his true heritage, and I was thinking that this might provoke him into becoming a Master of Many Forms in an attempt to "find himself". My question is twofold: does anybody have any recommendations on class progression or alternate prestige class/path? Also, how might I most effectively play an Aranea druid in battle? Note, my DM has given my character's race a 4 level progression.

07-27-06, 10:15 AM Never played either an aranea or a druid so i cant really help much there, however since you allready posses alterate forms the aspect druid found here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/classFeatureVariants.htm#wildShapeVarian tAspectOfNature) might be a very good idea since it allows you to use your wild shape and alterante forms at the same time.

If you go with that the warshaper from complete warrior might be a good choise for a PrC since it will add even more power and versatility to your alternate forms.
