* The equipment (arms & armors) of the Arcana Warrior automatically becomes imbued with arcane power for a total of the bonus of the level. The total amount of the enhancement cannot be superior to the bonus for the level. Example: A 1st level Arcana Warrior has an armor, a shield and a longsword. All three items are non-magical, the Arcana Warrior can choose to empower either one of these items, but not the three of them. At the 3rd level of the prestige class, the character could choose to have all three items gain a bonus of +1, choose to have one item +2 and another +1 or a single item at +3 (a weapon could be +2 Flaming (for a total bonus of +3)).
** The enhancement bonus to a weapon (attack/damage) or an armor/shield (protection) can never be over +5. The bonus over +5 must be in special abilities.

Magic Arms & Armors: (SU) Starting at first level, the Arcana Warrior has the power to imbue weapons, armors and shield with arcane power, according to the chart. With his power, the Arcana Warrior can choose to enhance the power of an arm or armor/shield which is already magical, however the Arcana Warrior can only modify the enhancement bonus to a maximum of +5 of total enhancement and to do so requires the Arcana Warrior has to take the time to get in tune with the enchantment already existing, so enhancing the power of a magical weapon takes a full round action. Thus a +4 short sword could become a +5 short sword, a +2 armor of Spell Resistance (13) (total enhancement of +4) could become a +3 armor of Spell Resistance (13), but a +5 longsword could not become a +5 Flaming longsword (cannot add a magical property). The Arcana Warrior can imbue an item for 1 minute/level of the Arcana Warrior prestige class. The Arcana Warrior can use this ability 1/day at 1st level, 2/day at 4th level, 3/day at 7th level and 4/day at the 10th level. The Arcana Warrior cannot lend a magical weapon/armor/shield to another person, the enchantment is in tune only with the Arcana Warrior and fades away if the weapon/armor/shield ever leaves the Arcana Warrior (with the exception of missiles and thrown weapons which carry the enchantement until they hit). Also an item rendered magical by the Arcana Warrior cannot be made permanent through the use of the “Permanency” spell.

Bonus Feat: The Arcana Warrior gains a bonus feat (from the Fighter list) at the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th level.

Craft Magic Arms & Armors: (EX) The Arcana Warrior is such a skilled weaponsmith and armorsmith that starting at the 2nd level, he may craft magical weapons and armors according to the feat “Craft Magic Arms & Armors” of the PHB (p.80). However the Arcana Warrior, may only enchant a weapon/armor/shield with an enhancement bonus and not with special properties. Thus 6th level Arcana Warrior could craft a Shield +3, but not a +1 shield of Arrow Deflection (+2, for a total of +3). An Arcana Warrior could work with an arcane spellcaster (Bard, Sorcerer, Wizard), though not with a divine spellcaster, to create an enchantment for an item where the Arcana Warrior would take care of the enhancement bonus and the spellcaster would work on the special ability, thus spliting the XP cost between them.

Ignore Spell Failure: (EX) As per the Spellsword prestige class ability. Beginning at 4th level, the Arcana Warrior’s exceptionnal understanding of armors and shields starts to pay off. As an extraordinary ability, the Arcana Warrior ignores a portion of the arcane spell failure chance associated with using armor. The reduction starts at 10% at the 4th level and goes up to 20% at the 8th level. The Arcana Warrior substract the listed percentage value from her total spell failure chance, if any.

Specific Arms & Armors: (SU) Upon reaching the 10th level, the Arcana Warrior could chose to imbue a weapon or an amor/shield to become a “specific” item (as per the tables 8-8 Specific Armors, 8-9 Specific Shields or 8-17 Specific Weapons) instead of enchanting it with the +10 bonus. The only exception is that the character cannot imbue an item to become a “Luck Blade”. Also, a specific item must follow the guidelines of the item’s description, the Arcana Warrior cannot imbue a mace to become a “Mace of Fish Command”, only a trident can be so enchanted.
