misterkimball 01-15-08, 12:37 AM	Can arcane archers use a reserve feat + imbue arrow combo? It seems that allowing this might make the arcane archer a little less ragged on, but I'm pretty sketchy on how reserve feats work (for example if they can create area effects, etc.). Is there an official ruling on this?
InkBlot 01-15-08, 01:02 AM	Reserve feats grant supernatural abilities. Imbue Arrow only works with spells. So no, you can't imbue an arrow with a reserve feat. The Fiery Burst reserve feat deals fire damage in a small area of effect.
tombowings 01-15-08, 01:05 AM	You can't do it by RAW, but I would allow it in my campaign. However, I haven't had much experience with reserve feats, so I may not have the bet information to go on.
LoneFlame 01-15-08, 10:22 AM	Imbue Arrow only works for spells, but if you're DM is fairly laid back, he'd allow it, since Reserve feats are even described as 'weaker than a spell a few levels lower than the one being held in reserve.' Would it be nifty despite that? Yes. Would it be game breaking? Probably not. For example. Fireball does up to 10d6 damage, but a reserve feat that is powered by said Fireball would only do 3 dice of damage, since Fireball's a 3rd level spell. After 3 attacks it pays for itself, but you probably will have to break down & use your reserved spell for boss fights, so it kinda equals out.
