I am looking for a Wizard or other arcane core class that uses the Wisdom attribute instead of Intellegence. Any ideas? The reason why I am starting to play an Arcane Heirophant.

What you're looking for doesn't exist. Arcane is Int & Cha. Divine is Wis & Cha. Cha is the only common stat that could be used by Arcane & Divine casters. So, if you wanted Cha only for Divine & Arcane casters, you would be set.

Yup. Although, I'm not sure if there are any divine casters that use solely Cha. The Favored Soul uses both Wis and Cha, I think any divine casters that use Cha are like that too. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't think of any right now...

I never could figure that one out either. It's very stupid. As such, my group and I tend to run those classes solely off of charisma(which doesn't actually do them any favors really).

On a sidenote, there is one spontaneous divine caster I know for a fact runs solely off of charisma, but I refuse to speak its name, cause it sucks.

What I'd really say is that, despite there being no Wis-based arcanist for some reason, there's an Int-based priest - the Heroes of Horror archivist; I know it doesn't help a lot now, but may help somebody looking for something to mix with wizard spellcasting.

I've been thinking about this, and more and more it seems the feat Alternate Source Spell (Dragon #325) fullfills this need somewhat. The reason I say this is that it allows me to cast a Divine Fireball using my Wisdom modifier as a Druid for when DCs are calculated, instead of Int, but I would take a -1 caster level penalty for Fireball as a divine spell. This way I can keep a high DC using only one stat as a multiclassing spellcaster.

The same -1 caster level penalty would be applied for a Arcane Heal as my Wizard spell slot, except my Int modifier wouldn't matter so much when it came to DCs.

This seems logical, and a good way around this issue doesn't?
