So I am pretty sure I saw an arcane class with the ability to Surge, like the Wilder class (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/classes/wilder.htm) but I don't know when, where, or if I even did.

Basically, it's what happens when mages get RAWRGH SUPER ****** and cast spells by sheer force of will. Basically, it's the equivilent of what happens when a Wizard's Nyph wife leaves him for a Barbarian, who burns his spellbook, urinates on his familiar, and flips off Boccob.

That's right, he gets hit in the head with a Magic Missile the size of an ICBM.

I know there's Spell Rage, which is sort of what I am looking for, but not quite.

Once someone made a topic about Sorceror being underpowered and how to make him unique and feel more balanced.

I didn't care whether Sorc was or not: I just liked to help if I can that day.

So I talked about the Wilder and how he has Wild Surge boosting manifestor. So I said why not one for Sorceror, maybe something like Sorcery Surge, but I have no idea exactly what I called it.
Eitherway, I did'nt like enervation so I had to ideas to remove it.

1. So I asked him how about a reduced version that only goes to +4 bonus (at level 20 it would be +4, at level 1, +1).
or
2. a one starting at +1 and goes to +6 bonus with limited useage a day (maybe 3 + Charisma modifier).

Not sure if that was the one you were talking about.
