The Arcane Focus soulmeld increases the damage of your spells by the number of essentia points invested in it. So, the spells that most benefit from arcane focus are those that hit multiple times, like magic missile, because the damage bonus is applied for every missile. I made a quick research through the PHB spell list and couldn't find any other spell that would really benefit from arcane focus... If anyone reminds of such a spell (or a list of them), please post it here. Thanks! =)
