I apologize if this has already been asked/answered, but I have a question regarding the use of an Arcane Trickster's sneak attacks when applied to spells.

My understanding is thus:

1) Said spell must have an attack roll
2) Said spell must deal damage
3) If it is ranged, said spell must be within 30ft

Here are my questions:

Damage type? If I shoot you with Ray of Enfeeblement it deals strength damage - so do the sneak attack dice go into the strength damage? Same deal with Enervation. In a less broken sense is also something like Scorching Ray - are the sneak attack dice fire damage?

After effect? If I hit you with Vampiric Touch on a sneak attack do I gain the sneak attack dice as HP?

Saves? If something is "Save or take half" and they save but you deal sneak attack dice, is the sneak attack damage still full?

Target? Can I shoot a normal person with Disrupt Undead and not deal spell damage but deal full sneak attack damage?

Once again, I apologize if these questions were already adressed - I searched a bit but did not find any answers. Thanks in advance...

Actually Ray of Enfeeblment causes a strength Penalty NOT damage, so it can't be used for sneak attacks. However, Enervation deals it's sneak attack damage as Negative Energy damage.

See the Sage Advice column on Sneak Attacks for verifcation and more answers.
