Why:
Divinists has:

Preparational:
Cleric with undead turning that can be used (with feats) in many creative ways.
Druids with wildshape and other not bad abilities.

Spontaneous:
Favoured Souls have spontanous version of this, plus a bunch of decent abilities, best-in-the-game saves and quite good results with one weapon.

Mix of those:
Spirit Shaman

Psionic has Psion, Wilder, Erudite and a few more interesting full casting options, each with it's own flavour, or at least enought hooks to add flavour to them.

And Arcanists? Wizard is kinda ok. Specialized spontaneous casters, like Beguiler or Warmage are all but universal, and Sorcerer looks like "Wizard's poor sister". And, there is nothing like an erudite or spirit shaman.

Sorcerer changes

Remove all spells with casting time longer than 1 full round from their spell list.
Remove all spells with costly focuses or costly material components from their spell lists.
Remove need of use "free" components.
Remove familiar.
Add Use Magic Device and Diplomacy to their skill list
Bonus heritage feat at first level. May be substituted with anything that'd substitute familiar.
Sudden metamagic does not makes casting longer.
bonus feats at the levels Wizzies get theirs, from the following: Heritage-related, Sudden Metamagic, Extra Spell, Extra Spell Slot, Ritual Casting, Sacrifice Casting, Focusing Body.
0 2'nd level spell cells on 3rd level, 0 3rd level spell cells on 5th level and so on up to 0 9'th level spells on 17'th character level

Ritual Casting - adds the spells with longer casting time back to the list, but does not allow to learn them as spells known.
Sacrifice Casting - adds spells with costly material components to the list, but character must pay 1/50 of the listed gp price in XP instead of using component.
Focusing Body - adds the spells with focus to the list. "free" focuses are just added, costly ones requires proper tattoo or other sign, costing no less than original focus.

Something Between
That's the hard part, here I need more help than above, and (at the beginning) less criticism, due to fact that I know it's unplayable for now.

Spirit Shaman's type of casting, but spells "received" from spellbook.
Int for quantity of spells and max spell level, Cha for spell's DC
Some abilities to deal with Polluted Magic (think of it as a mix of chaos magic, dead magic zones and effects that can do nasty things, but only with the characters who casts/recently casted spells)

They are meant to be "invention" of the last Total Magic War - the survivors, explorers and the only arcane fraction don't hated for what happened with the world.
Any suggestions? I'd be thankful for anything.

:bump: No comments at all? :(
Would you let someone with this classes into a game? What needs to be done to balance the "third arcanist"?
