Archer Build [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-28-08, 01:10 PM I was wanting to play an elf C.N. cleric (Magic/Trickery) archer, and hoping for a build. Right now I am either Clc 2 or Clc 1/Rgr 1.

So far I am going for Rgr 2 and Clc 3, and maybe Seeker of the Misty Isle (if allowed).

I have Point Blank Shot, and soon to get Precise and Rapid Shot.

Any coolguy ideas?

Also, spells that work good for an archer cleric. Other feats? Likely I am going to go for Many Shot and Imp. Precise Shot. Don't know if it is possible for epic? CW may be allowed, but we are not sure if anything beyond core yet. That still leaves a few feats to go with, and I'm not going with a primary healer character.

04-28-08, 07:05 PM So what is allowed? Just core+CW? Well, Zen Archery for one, you'll want that ASAP, maybe even at first level. This way, you can dump dex. Now, in core your spells are very simple: Divine Favor and Divine Power. Those two and you'll basically be set. I'll go more in depth later, as I'm used to having all sources allowed. Oh, and try to stick with cleric as much as possible, losing caster levels is not a good thing. I'll look through CW and see if anything's worth while, as is SotMI isn't all that hot. It's nice, but it requires you to be an elf. Speaking of elves, try a wood elf instead. Wild elf is acceptable. Just don't do high elf.

Now, ranger for two levels may be good, but I'll see. Likely you'll want to not sacrifice any casting. In fact, bet on it.

I'm actually a high dex cleric, but was thinking about Zen Archery (just in case) and the other archery feats in CW if it is later allowed. Likely, I am looking at the only other books being allowed are the first 4 Completes, and possibly FR and DL campaign settings, though the last two are unlikely.
