Pallin Rahl 09-07-06, 12:28 AM	When an Archivist uses Dark Knowledge, do they choose a specific benefit they wish to grant (by choosing Tactics or Foe, etc specifically)? ...or do they just make the knowledge check and grant [i]all[i] the benefits available for them to grant at their current level? I've always (well, since it showed up :P) liked the Archivist flavor-wise. ...just wanted to clarify this one ability a bit :)
Harliquinn 09-07-06, 09:43 AM	I've read it as you pick which benefit you want to give with each Check, based upon: The archivist's dark knowledge can affect a single creature or all creatures of the same race, depending on the effect used. However, given the lower number of times / day, I don't think it's unresaonable or unbalanced to give them all the relevant (and unlocked) effects with one knowledge check. I want to compile a list sometime of all the feats and special abilities that increase Knowledge checks (Skill Focus, Education, etc).
