SavagePoetry 08-17-06, 12:06 PM	I know that Archivist is a very powerful/flavorful class, but I really don't like the "Walking Monster Encyclopedia" side, and I also think that Dread Secret is a little overboard...I mean, with enough ranks I may Stun Baalzebul without save by telling him "Hey, big fat slug, I know that I can kill you with this Holy Salt Cellar!"... :ahem: ...I'd like something totally into the mystic side of the class..Kind of a "Mystic Philosopher", if you want...Anybody has ideas??(I am aware of a homebrew Philosopher base class on these boards, and while I find it interesting I don't think my DM will allow me to stray so much from the original...) Thanks a lot in advance! :)
Angel Black 08-17-06, 12:32 PM	Let's group some of the Archivist Features: Dark Knowledge -Bard Music like Lore Mastery-stacks with Dark Knowledge & +2 Descipher Script Still Mind - old AD&D wizard-illusionist (elf like) Scribe Scroll -Wizard Feats- Skill Focus (any Knowledge skill) & Wizard feats So yeah, it must be fairly easy to make a Mystic Archivist variant: - Changing songs I mean Dark knowledges :D - change lore Mastery: +2 to some cleric only skill an some other thing - change still Mind by saving bonus against opposite alignment spells. - Divine Feats instead of Wizard like feats

Anybody has ideas on a good substitution for the "songs"? ..Or maybe I could simply take away everything and give it something like a Domain related to his philosophy every x(five?seven?) levels and call it a day...Do you think this would be balanced? :confused: Forgot a thing: can't use Divine Feats without Turning!And I think it would be out of place..
