I'm working on a char build and was reading through the ardent class and realized it give no criteria for what the highest level powers known at any level are. Either i'm blind as a bat or someone didn't proofread complete psionic very well. Can anyone shed some light on this?

There are no criteria. They are only limited by manifester level.

First level= one power point max per power= First level powers

Fifth level= 5 pp= 3rd level powers and so on..

Note that this means you can take the practiced manifester feat in order to select higher-level powers than you normally could if you were a multiclassed character.

Thank you. That makes things a lot clearer. And since I was planning on multi-classing with this build the practiced manifester feat will come in very useful :plotting:

Another question that my build has brought up. Would a multiclass Psychic warrior/Ardent gain bonus power points for his Wis twice?

Exactly what I did with my last character.

In fact:

5th level- Psywar/ Feat= Psicrystal Affinity

6th level- Ardent... 6th level feat= Practiced Manifester
Took the Knowledge mantle and the Touchsight power (5th level manifester)

7th level- Psywar/ Feat= Ex Knowledge (Share Pain), a 2nd level power I can add because I know a 3rd level power

Use Share Pain on Psicrystal. Psicrytal takes half your damage for 5 hours.

Psicrystal has 1/2 your HP= You have 50% more effective hit points.

If psicrystal breaks, will another psicrystal into existence. No familiar-type penalty.

This may be a bit more cheese than your DM is willing to put up with, so be forewarned.

The drawback is that I get power points for 2 levels of Psywar = 1 pp
.. for 1 level of Ardent= 2pp
.. bonus power points for 2nd level manifester= 2pp
.. and bonus pp for 5th level manifester= 5 pp

So I got a grand total of 10 pp. But 193 effective hp at 12th level.

The answer is yes. You add them for each class.

Yes, you can get a psicrystal as a Psywarr. The psicrystal entry in the monster description was transposed from the 3.0 book and is in error.

No, there are no rules for and no description of creating or recreating a psicrystal. The latest word from custsurv is "You just create another one"

A lot of people ask those questions so I thought..

Good luck
