I was thinking about all the special things monks get, and for some reason:confused: I started thinking about how applying poison has a 5% chance of poisoning the poisoner. Since at a certain level (I forget which) monks are immune to poison of all kinds, does that mean they can poison as much as they want without worry?

knew i guy who played a monk back in 3rd ed who had a lot of fun with his immunities. he'd soak himself in poison and throw himself at anything and then go eat some mummies('tastes like jerky guys!)

Umm, I just looked it up on my SRD, and Monks aren't immune to Mummy rot.

But were they in 3.0?

Had one monk in a game I GMed, that soaked himself in contact poison and then grappled with his opponent. He was Lawful Evil:)

Indeed. Pick up a toxic tooth, and spit black lotus extract in their eyes. Or soak your fists in dragon bile, and punch away. Just be sure to wash your hands afterwards. Thats just nasty, disease and poison immunity or no.

I'm not sure about monks and mummies, but you could just as easily substitute dire rats/otyughs/the liquid remains of a hobo killed by the slimy doom/the hobo's mad train wine. Tasty.

This is a similar idea to a Fire Immune creature wearing metal armor, and then casting "Heat Metal" on themselves before grappling.

Even limited intelligence will cause beings to use advantages they have.
