Demonwolf 10-01-06, 08:30 PM	I just finished reading the Count of Monte Cristo, and Abbe Faria (who I loved and continued to throughout the whole book) not to mention the devoutly religious aspect of Edmond Dantes (especially the final scene with Caderousse) inspired me to create a cleric/rogue who focuses on a combination of inflict spells and SA, and I was wondering how to pull that off. I'll do Shadowbane if I absolutely have to, but I was wondering if there were any alternatives. Divine crusader looks promising, but the high BaB req would make it difficult as a rogue, plus the late attainment of inflict spells. Cleric/Rogue or FS/rogue could be doable with practiced caster/spell penetration/greater penetration, but I'd rather not go through all the necessary feat burning. So are there any other cleric/rogue PrCs that would give me both divine casting and SA progression? Or are there any cleric/skillmonkey PrCs period and ways to augment SA without getting it from class levels?
psionichamster 10-01-06, 08:35 PM	well, there's the divine trickster in the Complete Divine, and the Divine Prankster in Races of Stone. iirc, DT is just like Arcane Trickster (available here: http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/classes ), but with divine spell progression prankster is gnome only, IIRC, focuses on confusing and befuddling, and i think fighting giants. namaste' the hamster

I don't think there is a Divine Trickster published by WotC, but Rich Burlew has one on his webpage which can be found here (http://www.giantitp.com/Func0015.html).
CzarGarrett 10-02-06, 09:20 AM	I think the Black Flame Zealot is kinda what you want, to some degree. You might want to talk a look at it and see if it works. Or modify it a bit if thats the case.
Demonwolf 10-02-06, 11:08 AM	Except for Rich Burlew's DT (which I don't want to rely upon since it's non-WoTC) all of the above possibilities already occured to me... so instead, lemme approach it from a different angle. Are there any PrCs like, say, the sentinel of Bharrai that has "+1 level in existing class", has a rogue or rogue-esque skillset and class abilities that are generic enough not to interfere with an unrelated RP? And are there any items, feats, etc. that could augment sneak attack to provide atleast a +2d6?
The_Shaman 10-02-06, 06:50 PM	Black Flame Zealot is quite good, otherwise I was thinking about the strifeleader - it's the Cyricist specialty priest, from the 3.0 Faiths and Pantheons book. It hasn't (iirc) been updated, gives 8/10 caster levels, death attack, iirc no abilities you can't translate into a similar, non-Cyricist class.
Jeddi151 10-02-06, 08:13 PM	I currently have a Rog/Clr/BFZ in a game i'm running. Its nice, but difficult not having a lot of the rogue abilities mid-game or the high cleric spells. I'm toying with Rog2/Clr4/BFZ6/Assassin 8. This build gives 4th level cleric, 4th level assassin and a lot of the nice rogue abilities ((7d6 sneak attack and improved uncanny dodge)). It also has 14 levels of death attack ((very nice)). The other thing i'm thinking over is Rog7/Clr7/BFZ6. This gives 5th level cleric spells and a higher will save, but no improved invisibility etc. Use Magic Device is a must for these builds ((something i screwed up on)). Carson
