| GreenKnight12-04-05, 12:17 AM | Specifically, an increase in the number of Skill Points per Level that a character gains? Aside from the one in Book of Exalted Deeds, that is. I'd prefer a Feat that didn't require a guy to make it with a Nymph on a regular basis to get more Skill Points. :P |
| Boshi12-04-05, 12:30 AM | There's open minded in XPH that gives you 5 skill points as a one time gain. |
| a_psh12-04-05, 12:35 AM | Here it is (http://d20srd.org/srd/psionic/psionicFeats.htm#openMinded). Open Minded [General] You are naturally able to reroute your memory, mind, and skill expertise. Benefit You immediately gain an extra 5 skill points. You spend these skill points as normal. If you spend them on a cross-class skills they count as ½ ranks. You cannot exceed the normal maximum ranks for your level in any skill. Special You can gain this feat multiple times. Each time, you immediately gain another 5 skill points. |

| Particle_Man12-04-05, 02:14 AM | Technically, there are various kinds of love. Maybe the nymph was your adopted mother or something. No "making it" required. In case you wanted to avoid the HORRORS of making it with a nymph. :D :D :D |
| MindWandererB12-04-05, 02:55 AM | I dunno... the feat is called "Nymph's Kiss," and it does say an "intimate relationship." I suppose you might interpret that as a familiar relationship, but I doubt they meant it that way. For RP purposes, though, hunting down a nymph or dryad and having an "intimate relationship" with it just to nab some extra skill points is pretty silly. |
| Khierien12-04-05, 03:33 AM | Hey, hey, hey, now. You guys want those extra skill points or not? Sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet, and do what you gotta do to go that extra yard. Nymphs need love too... ...They've just gotta pay skill points. |
| GreenKnight12-04-05, 12:35 PM | So is there really anything objectionable about making it with a nymph? :) I mean it is an exalted feat an all :D There's nothing objectionable about it ... at first. But they're the very DEFINITION of the high-maintenance woman. And frankly, I can't stand those types for long, and I dump 'em, eventually. I'd rather not have my character stuck in a relationship with some prissy diva who expects everything her way just for the extra Skill Point Per Level. Besides, giving Nymphs love in exchange for Skill Points seems a whole lot like prostitution for me. The Nymph's certainly a sight better then the kind of clientele male prostitutes usually attract, but still. Seems a bit off for an "Exalted" character. ;) |
