| mesix06-28-06, 07:24 AM | ... something similar without being Bards ? I'd be especially interested in some full BaB classes (I am looking for a Base or Prestige Class for a Bounty-HUnter-Type-Char). The only one I remember is the Steel Legionaire from DLCS. Thanks for your help mesix ;) |
| Izodor_Shadowcaster06-28-06, 07:45 AM | well, I do not know if there are any of WotC but I made a kind of wizard with a kind of bardic knowledge. It is in my signature. And you could make up a feat that grands the ability I think. |
| mesix06-28-06, 08:01 AM | Thank, but I believe the DM won't allow Material which is not at least semiofficial (as UA or Dragon). mesix ;) |
| Izodor_Shadowcaster06-28-06, 08:04 AM | I just relised that there is the Loremaster PrC in the DMG. http://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeClasses/loremaster.htm |
| mesix06-28-06, 08:09 AM | Ooops .. I totally overlooked that one. Though it's quite hard to qualifiy for this class with a mercenary type character. Though, thanks a lot for your efforts .. especially since I messed up checking SRD at least myself. mesix ;) |
| Esponer06-28-06, 08:31 AM | The Yakuza (Oriental Adventures Page 55-56) gains Yakuza Knowledge, which is identical to Bardic Knowledge. They have a medium base attack bonus progression and also gain Improved Evasion, Uncanny Dodge, Defensive Roll, Leadership and Slippery Mind. An excellent class for qualifying for other things and may be suitable for you, if you can meet the requirements. (The only difficult one, really, is the nonchaotic and nongood alignment - other than that it's just skills and one feat.) |
| Todd06-28-06, 08:33 AM | IIRC the Chameleon Rogue Sub levels let one get Bardic Knowledge in place of Trapfinding. |
| CaoSlayer06-28-06, 08:44 AM | Also the harpist argent prc from faerun grants a kind of bardic knowledge. |
| runestar06-28-06, 08:52 AM | I think the harper scout and harper paragon prcs from PGTF advance bardic knowledge as well, but the latter prc requires you to be exalted. I think there might be a feat in lost empires of faerun which grants a limited form of bardic knowledge, but I cannot be sure. :( |
| mesix06-28-06, 09:29 AM | Thanks a lot .. especially the Yakuza sounds great ... But the char I'm playing (for whom I'd like to have it) is chaotic good ... I'll have to think if Bardic Knowdledge is worth a change of alignment. mesix ;) |
