i hate that LA also removes character levels, i really think i want to be something weird, does anyone have a good idea?

does anyone know a race with +2 cha +2 wis. -2 str or dex or con, and 0 LA, because then i think i just go 20 healer or favored soul or spirit shaman.

Thanks in advance.

Let's see... The Vanara from OA have a +2 Int +2 Wis and -2 Str... That's close. Some of the Anthropomorphic Animals from Savage Species give a bonus to Wisdom... Only the Wolverine has a bonus to both Wis and Cha, but he eats a LA.

Races with a LA +0 and a bonus to a mental stat are pretty rare. Bonuses to 2 mental stats is almost unheard of.

The best in my opinion is the Saint template from BoED. Amazing stat bonuses and a slew of other goodies. LA +2 unfortunately, but well worth it.

What about this: a human werebear with some levels in Fighter, ranger or even cleric, and five levels in Warshaper (and maybe vow of poverty). But i am going to check the saint template right away.

Edit: the saint template is very nice, but i donīt know if my DM would allow it.

Most DM's won't allow the Saint template simply because it's way too good. If it is allowed, expect plenty of strings attached.

The LA for a Werebear is pretty intense. +2 for afflicted or +3 for natural, and then you add the hitdice of the base creature. 3 in the case of the Werebear. It's pretty ugly. I don't think that a Cleric is a good idea under these circumstances. Fighter or Ranger is a better choice, with Barbarian being top of the line to head into Warshaper.

The closest race is Aasimar, +2 wis and +2 cha, but +1 LA, it's a native outsider so it's not affected by humanoid only spells like charm person. In FR player's guide to faerun, there's a description for lesser planetouched races that would remove the LA, not sure if your DM will allow it though.

But there is a problem about this: werebears are always lawful good.

be a warlock or a bezerker (note: you don't have to take the class)

how does race factor into it?

It feels like I say this twice daily. Lesser aasimar! It's basically an aasimar with a LA +0. Check it out in Player's Guide to Faerun.

Sorry for doublepost, but:

we have 1 battle sor./ dragon deciple (Paladin/cavaliar, right now), and one rogue/peerless archer, and a sor./spell sword, so maybe i should be someone who could fight, but we also need a healer.
