Silverthumb128 03-09-04, 01:39 PM	OK, I just finished playing Onimusha 2, and I was wondering if there was a possible Variant Monk build that uses weapons, and is a little less of a martial artist/demigod, and is more of a soldier with some spiritual backup strengths. Perhaps there are abilities I can use to replace several Monk abilities? For example, I think I can probably do without the following Monk abilities: Unarmored Speed Bonus, Unarmed Damage Bonus, Slow Fall, Abundant Step(never used it as a regular monk), Quivering Palm, timeless Body, Tongue of the Sun and Moon, Empty Body, Perfect Self. I have considered Sohei from OA(- Spellcasting). Any ideas for things I can use to replace any of these things? Thanks for your help.
PhaedrusXY 03-09-04, 02:51 PM	Take a look at the Shou Disciple Prestige Class. It is a more martial option for a monk-like character. It is in the Unapproachable East supplement to the Forgotten Realms. It has 5 levels, fighter BAB, increases unarmed damage (or stacks with monk levels), and in the end can make flurry of blows attacks with weapons while wearing light armor.
