| Prototype_X08-31-06, 09:52 AM | I was on another board, telling people how i want to make a Pirate class. Not the Dread Pirate PrC, not Swashbuckler, but Pirate. They told me there that someone made one a little while back on these oards. Does anyone have a link? Thanks |

The popular representation of a pirate (We're talking about the captains and main characters of pirate movies, not the flunkies) is probably a Swahsbuckler/Dread Pirate, or if you want core only, Fighter/Rogue with the Leadership feat and a boat. (Jack Sparrow was probably a Rogue/Swashbuckler/Dread Pirate :P .) For the lesser pirates, they're probably the Warrior NPC class, maybe one level in Rogue since even lesser pirates are known to fight dirty. (Though I don't know why you'd want to play as one). If you absolutely MUST have a pirate class, I'd probably give it a Sneak Attack progression equivilent to the rogue's, the Rogue's BAB, probably some abilities attuned to whatever role the pirate plays in a sea battle (Some stuff for cannon expert, some stuff for boarding crew, some for sabotuers, etc.) |
