| Ruric10-28-05, 01:44 PM | "Love conquers all..." - Esdlia, Dancer about: Dancers have many origins. They can be those who are born out of great romances, like those of Romeo and Juliet or Venus and Mars. They can be artists with extraordinary physical ability. They can be warriors, whose spinning pirouets and grace assists them in exemplary fashion. They can even be potent sorcerers, whose bloodline bestows upon them skills aside from magical talent. Adventuring: A dancer is certainly not a foe to be underestimated. Skilled in enchantments, and possessing unnatural physical aptitude and grace, a dancer is a potent class. Often serving as a negotiator like a bard or unnarmed warrior like a monk, the dancer is a versatile class. Allignment: Generally choatic neutral, as dancer's bodies are mirrors that mirror the dancer's thoughts (hint, hint, mirroring thoughts may imply magic or psionics, end hint, end hint). However, dancers who aren't blessed with innate ability gain their skill through strict training, so they may be lawful. Dancer Hit Die: d6 Class skills: Balance, Bluff, Climb, Concentration, Craft, Diplomacy, Disguise, Escape artist, Gather information, Handle animal, Hide, Jump, Knowledge, Listen, Move Silently, Perform, Pick pocket, Proffesion, Sense Motive, Speak Language, Spellcraft, Swim, Tumble. Skill points: (Int mod+6)x4 at level 1, and (Int mod+6) at all other levels. Armor/Weapon Proficiencies: None. The Dancer is proficient with no armor(as it interferes with dancing) and no weapons(as a penalty to make the class more balanced). Saves: Low fortutude(+6 at level 20), Low will(+6 at level 20), High reflex(+12 at level 20). BAB: As bard Increased movements: As monk Unnarmed damage die(nonleathal): Level 1-5:1d6, Level 5-10: 2d4, Level 10-15: 1d6+1d4, level 15-20:3d4. Good? Specials: 1. Performance/8 per day, Untamed fluidity, Dancing Aplication 16. Superior Charmer 17. Attention, Performance/9 per day 18. Greater attention 19. Performance/10 per day 20. Advanced Style, Heaven's Charmer Performance: The dancer starts to dance, and depending on how many ranks she has in Perform(dance), she can do different things. Each of these effects use up the dancers Performances per day. When a dancer performs, her performance takes up her whole round, and unless she has Battle Dancing, she can do nothing but perform. Performances normally provoke attacks of opportuinity. However, the target does not need to see the dancer; the magical somatic movements of dance make a line of sight unnecessary. 4 Ranks: Aura of Peace: There is a 50% chance that monsters (with a level equal to that of the dancer's level) within a 50 ft. radius of the dancer will become peaceful and friendly. For every 5 levels the monster is above the dancer, decrease the percent by 10. For every 5 levels the dancer is above the monster, increase the percent by 10. This uses 1 Performance. 4 Ranks: Empathic dance: Both the dancer and any 1 target within 30 ft. are fatigued. This uses 1 Performance. 8 Ranks: Stable dance: Stabilizes dying friends within a 50 ft. radius. This uses up 1 Performance. 8 Ranks: Invigorating Pirouet: Relieves all within a 10 ft. radius of fatigue. This uses up 1 Performance. 12 Ranks: Invigorating dance: Restores negative levels, ability drain, poison, disease, enchantments, and curse within a 5 ft. radius. This uses 4 Performances. 12 Ranks: Unbound: Invisibility(perfect), Teleport(perfect), or Eathralness. Each round eathral or invisible uses 1 Performance, each Teleport uses 1 Performance. 16 Ranks: Sustaining Movement: By using up 3 Performances, the dancer supplies herself and her allies within a 10ft. radius with the benifits of 8 hours of sleep. This does not replenish spells per day, merely remove fatigue. 16 Ranks: Windmill, Windmill...: Makes 1 creature with neutral allignment or the allignment of the dancer within a 10 ft. radius friendly with a 50% chance. If the creature does not have an allignment which is the same as the dancer but is chaotic, they must make a will save (DC=1/2 Level+5) or become Chaotic Neutral (but not become friendly). This uses 5 Performances. 20 Ranks: Void Dance: Dispells magic within a 5 ft. radius. If the spell is a spell that could be cast by a sorceror of the dancer's level, the dispell attempt has a 50% chance. For every 5 levels that the sorceror would have to be higher than the dancer's level, decrease the percent by 10. For every 5 levels the sorceror could be lower to cast the spell, increase the percent by 10. This takes 1 Performance. 20 Ranks: Enlightened Steps: The dancer, for one turn, learns all as if she had cast Read Magic, Detect Magic, Detect Poison, Detect Allignment(?), and Read Surface Thoughts. This uses 5 performances. Too Cute to Kill: Add Cha mod to AC. This is an extraordinary ability. Talented skill: Once per turn as a free action, the dancer can give a +1 bonus to either AC, attack rolls, or any save. In additon, this +1 can be added to the DC to resist a dancer's performance or Charmer effects. Violent Dancing: When this is used, half of the Dancer's unnarmed damage for the round in converted into lethal damage. Stable Skill : This acts as Improved Unnarmed strike, except that it does not make unnarmed damage lethal. This also serves as Improved Unnarmed Strike for the purposes of acquiring feats. Evasion: On a successful reflex save for half damage, the dancer takes no damage instead. Canny defense: Add the dancer's Int mod to their AC. Uncanny dodge: The dancer retains her dex bonus to AC even when suprised or flat footed. Improved Evasion: Even when a reflex save fails, take 1/2 damage. Soul Conjunction: The dancer can spontaneously cast any 5 cantrips per day(5 spells per day, all cantrips are known, spontaneous casting). Charmer: As Charm Person by a 20th level sorceror. Cast as the spell 3 times a day. Superior Charmer: As Charm Monster by a 20th level sorcerer. Cast as the spell 2 times a day. Heaven's Charmer: Charm 1 Person, no Spell Resistance, no Save. This effect can only be used on 1 target. If the dancer wants to change who she charms with her effect, she will first have to give up control over this target. Cast as a supernatural abilility once per day. It cannot be lifted by restoration or any spell that unenchants a character. Expression: The dancer can cast cantrips, Charms, etc while dancing (not necessarily Performing). The dancer also does not require verbal components to cast cantrips and charms, as the powerful somatic gestures of the dance eliminate the need for these verbal components. Impossible Flexibility: Add the dancer's level to her Escape Artist, Tumble, and her Hide check. +1/4 of the dancer's level to her reflex saves. Leap of the wind: As the monk's "Leap of the clouds(name?)" Battle dancing: The Dancer can do anything she could normally do when she is using Performance. This means that the dancer can fight, cast (as per Soul Conjunction), use Elemental Movements, and so forth. Elemental Movements: The dancer can change the damage dealt by any attack dealing elemental damage to a different type of elemental damage of her choice. This can be used even when it is not the Dancer's turn. This is a supernatural ability. Also, elemental creatures in the area suffer a -2 to their rolls. Untamed Fluidity: The dancer, at this point, is permanently under the effects of similar to the Freedom of Movement spell. However, this ability cannot be dispelled in any way. Dancing Application: The dancer can use her Perform(dance) check for the following skills: Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, and Tumble. Attention: As Fascinate/Suggestion (as per Bard), but with a saving DC of Dancer's Level+10+Cha modifier Style: Choose 1 style at level 10. Depending on what style is chosen, different benifits are gained. Ballet: +1/5 dancer level AC, +2 Fort, Slow Fall 20 ft. Tap: Improved Trip, +2 Reflex, +1/4 level to listen. Folk: +2 Performances a day, 1/4 of your ranks of Perform(dance) become Knowledge(folk tradition), 1/2 of Knowledge(folk tradition) apply to diplomacy, bluff, gather information, and sense motive. Ballroom: If the opponent is next to the dancer, the dancer can move as she normally does but taking the opponent with her, facing the opponent in whatever direction(DC to resist=Dancer level+5), cannot be flanked, Deflect arrows feat. Advanced Style: Depending on what style was chosen at level 10, the character gains a different bonus at level 20. Ballet: 60% to ignore criticals (they are turned into normal attacks). Tap: Otto's Irrresistable Dance as by a sorceror of the dancer's level OR Tasha's Hideous Laughter as by a sorcerer of the dancer's level once per day. Folk: +1/2 of the dancer's level to saves against enchantments, illusions. Ballroom: +2 Cha Other styles of dance can be added at will, these are just the basic 4. New feats: Charm the Uncharmable Prequisites: Cha 15+, Int 13+, Wis 12+, Dancer level 15+ Benifits: You are able to charm people who are immune to charm. Special: This only applies to the dancer's Charmer effects. |
