| NightScreamer2002-02-04, 09:32 AM | Arrow of Cupid From the rooftops she watched, hidden by shadow and wit alone. Her bow drawn taught the arrow quivering for release. With a slight smirk and kiss towards the target she let it fly, slicing the wind as it travelled downward. In a manner of seconds she had already reloaded and let loose another arrow soaring towards it's target gracefully. The first arrow struck a large Half-Ogre in the back, making him give a small grunt of pain as he reached to pull it out. His large hands balled up in tight fists as he grasped the arrow, but as he grabbed the shaft it disintegrated into a cloud of pink shimmering dust. His eyes twirled and his face became contorted and then relaxed, a strange grin across his face. At the same time the second arrows struck a young woman in the side, making her give a surprised shriek, but it soon did too dissapate. She turned to the right looking across the street with a blurry expression, then ran through the crowds towards the other side. She wrapped her arms around the large Half-Ogre who returned the embrace gracefully, pulling her close, then they both shared a passionate kiss before leaving for the closest Inn. Alignment: Any Chaotic non-evil BAB: +5 Feats: Weapon Focus [Any bow, not crossbow], Spell Focus [Enchantment] Special: Access to the Trickery Domain Spells: Ability to cast 2nd level Divine Spells two of which must be Command and Calm Emotions Class Skills The Arrow of Cupid has the following class skills: Bluff [Cha], Concentration [Con], Diplomacy [Cha], Disguise [Dex], Gather Information [Cha], Hide [Dex], Knowledge [Religion], Profession [Wis], Sleight of Hand [Dex], Spellcraft [Int], and Spot [Wis]. Skill Points: 4 + Int Mod Class Features The following are class features of the Arrow of Cupid prestige class. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Arrow of Cupid gains no weapon or armor proficiencies. Spells: At 1st level and every other level thereafter the Arrow of Cupid gains a +1 Caster Level to any Divine Spellcasting class he had before. Enchanting Arrow (Sp): The Arrow of Cupid first begins to utilize her ability to use magic through her arrows at 2nd level. She may use one of her arrows to cast an Enchantment spell on any creature she could attack normally with a bow, even if the spell has a range of Touch. If this spell would have an area of effect, the area is centered on the target of the arrow. This does not change the casting time of the spell, nor anything else, just the spell's range. Hand in Hand (Su): The Arrow of Cupid knows love works best with two beings involved. Knowing this she can use a single arrow to hit 2 targets at once, but using only a single attack roll. She may use this ability 1/day at 2nd level, 2/day at 5th level, and 3/day at 8th level. Using this ability is a Standard Action that provokes an attack of opportunity. This ability can be combined with Enchanting Arrow to cast a single spell on 2 targets, even though that spell may only have a single target, though this does use up an extra spell slot at the same level of the spell cast. Piercing the Heart (Su): The Arrow of Cupid learns how to penetrate a target's defense in order to pass on their love to all, even the most cold-hearted of beings. At 3rd level her arrows give her a +2 bonus vs. Spell Resistance when using any of her abilities, at 6th level her arrows, if she wishes, gain the Magic energy type, and at 9th her bonus to passing Spell Resistance increases to +4. Till Death do us Part (Sp): At 10th level the Arrow of Cupid finally unleashes her pure powers. 1/week she may fire a special arrow in which she imbues all the powers of love. If she hits the target successfully, the target must make a Will save (DC = Caster Level + Cha Modifier) if failed the creature becomes completely infactuated with the Arrow of Cupid, unless the Arrow of Cupid suggests another target before releasing the arrow. The infactuated creature obeys every command that it is given by the being it is infactuated with and will defend them, unless told otherwise, to the death. While infactuated the creature gains a +4 bonus to will save against all Mind-Influencing Effects. Any harmful action by the infactuated creature by the being it is infactuated with ends this spell immediatly. She may only have 1 creature infactuated per Charisma modifier. If she has more than 1 creature infactuated with the same person, they will become jealous and enraged, gaining +2 to Str/Con/Will Saves and -2 to AC, and will fight each other to the death. Well...show ya love! ^_^ Comments welcome! *Editted: Spelling Errors... |
| Maraxus02-02-04, 10:18 AM | Sweet. ;) A very nice class, nice for the contest and nice for good roleplaying groups. But normally it would probably be abused for fearsome archers that enhance their arrows with hold person. |
| NightScreamer2002-02-04, 06:05 PM | Bump! o.o Muhaha... |
| BlaineTog02-03-04, 12:21 AM | Originally posted by NightScreamer20 Class Skills The Arrow of Cupid has the following class skills: Bluff [Cha], Concentration [Con], Diplomacy [Cha], Disguise [Dex], Gather Information [Cha], Hide [Dex], Knowledge [Religion], Profession [Wis], Sleight of Hand [Dex], Spellcraft [Int], and Spot [Wis]. Skill Points: 6 + Int Mod With this number of skills, you only need 4 skill points per level. Till Death do us Part (Sp):I don't know about this. It's bascially a better version of dominate person that also happens to last forever. You could easily use this to start raking in the cohorts, since that's bascically what this would do. Other than that, pretty good. One question though: Why good Fort and wil? Archer PrCs generally have good Reflex saves. |
| NightScreamer2002-07-04, 02:28 AM | Alright, I editted the spelling *so I spell bad at 2 am when I wrote this, too bad :-p* Change the 'Till Death to Us Part' ability so that shemay only have 1 creature infactuatedper Charisma modifier, and if two creature are infactuated with the same person they will try to kill each other until only one remains. Changed the Requirements in order to take the class in the first place as well. And lastly changed the skill points/level. There shall be only one...Highlander... ^_^ and it's an extra bump! Comments plz! |
