no where in the FAQ , Errata nor the book can i find one key thing.

Once a artificer gains i magic item or creates it , can he use it or does he require a Use Magic device check every time?

I know wizards can use magic devices without a check , but i know the artificer is different some this aspect i think

thank you for any support

I'm pretty sure the Artificer needs to make a UMD check anytime he uses a magic item in the same way a Rogue does. Obviously not for potions or Gloves of Dexterity, but he will need to roll for a Wand or Scroll every time. Luckily, an Artificer already wants to focus on UMD and gains some bonuses on UMD checks I believe.

UMD every time. Remember though, if you have previously activated the item you get a +2 to UMD checks for it. Kinda nice for charged items and such.

Yes, he needs to do a UMD every time he activates a spell trigger item or spell completion item, even if he made it. He does get +2 bonus though if he has the matching craft item feat, not to mention any synergy bonuses or special ones to UMD through feats or items or such.
