Well, I read the EbCS, and I really like that Artificer class. I am starting a new campaign, however it is going to be based in Forgotten Realms. Can I transfer the artificer over, without much trouble? I believe on of there skills require the use of an action point or something. Can I simply remove that, or alter in some way? Has anyone else done this yet? Thanks.

Aside from the artificers ability to infuse as a 1 round ability rather than a 1 minute, you wouldn't lose much (it would limit the artificers combat potencial though, since they would need time to prep).

There isn't really anything stopping you from porting over action points rules though, they are modular enough to toss in any campaign. Extra player survivability is always good.

Very few of the Artificer class features require action points, well actually none of them do, but there may be a feat of two that does use them.

They do have a "craft reserve" that is something different.
As far as I can see, there is no mechanical issues useing an Artificer in the realms.

neither flavorwise since at the island of lantan there are tons of artificiers gnomes.

previously there is a prc on magic of faerun named "gnome artificier" allowed only to gnomes and humans from lantan.

Their is a Base Class for them too.

Really? I'm not aware of any Bass class comeing from the Realms.
I know of the gnome artificier PrC and there is another artificer like PrC in Faiths and Pantheons.
The problom, flavor wise, is both of these PrCs are worhipers of Gond. This deity supports the creation of items, free from magic if at all possible. The Artificer base class from Eberron is much more about magic then the typical Gond follower.
