redmalis 02-10-05, 03:06 AM	Another question that I am sure has been asked and answered before, but you guys were so helpful last time I thought I might try my luck again. I don't have all the books, but I have seen divine ranks on these boards a couple of times. Are these the equivelent of diety levels? If so what book describes their use? Are there guidelines for how/when they might be appropriately awarded and what the benefits are from attaining them? Thanks guys.

If you want a free resource that has all the information you want updated to the most current version, look into the System Reference Document's (SRD's) section on divine characters. Staggeringly simply, divine rank is a measure of how cool a god is.Rank 0: Creatures of this rank are sometimes called quasi-deities or hero deities. Creatures that have a mortal and a deity as parents also fall into this category...Rank 16-20: Called greater deities, these entities may have millions of mortal worshipers, and they command respect even among other deities. The most powerful of greater deities rule over other deities just as mortal sovereigns rule over commoners.And so on. The SRD explains it much better than I.
