(I put this in skills and feats section too. I just really wanted an answer as quickly as possible)

I wasn't sure if this question should be asked in the classes or feat section.

I was wondering what would happen if you use the "Ascetic" with a gestalt. Same goes with the Stunning Fist.

Ascetic Stalker for example. It allows your ninja levels to count towards your unarmed damage, and your monk levels to count towards your Ki Pool. So if I gestalt a Monk/Ninja and use the Ascetic Stalker feat wouldn't I get twice the Ki Pool and Unarmed damage? You would be counting both levels because that is what the feat says. So at level 20 you would have 4d10 to your punches and a base Ki Pool of 40. Let's say you then grab the Jutsu focus feat which allows each Ki point to count as two when you use a jutsu. You now have 80 in your Ki Pool (theoretically). Then we come to Stunning Fist which says that for each level of monk you get one use and for every two levels of another class you get 1. So then at level 20 you would could use stunning fist 30 times.

What do you think? And if it isn't allowed, why not? Overpowered?

actually, it wouldn't work because any oen gestalt level only increases a progression by the best available.

the ninja/monk progression above would grant ninja levels the same progression as the monk levels, and they would overlap, not stack.

I agree that this would not work. Now, what you could do with that is alternate monk and ninja levels and pair them up with some other class. I'd recommend a class with a full BaB.
