I just thought of something. Would it be too much for a Warlock if you,
A.) Allow the fast healing to be on all the time
B.) Allow Warlock to auto know Eldritch Essence Invocations, and Blast Shape Invocations?
For this allow a Warlock to compete a little bit more with the Sorcerer and Wizard with out being overshadowed.

I think this would be to much. It would play greatly into the Warlocks tactic of quick strikes and retreats. He could completely heal, while his opponent would need to invest items or spells to heal between the strikes.

I think the balancing factor of a Warlocks all day "unlimited" use of invocations is that he knows so little. He has to make difficult choices. Does he want a essence or blast shape or is he going to take another invoction. But that's just my opinion.

I've been working on a Warlock variant, here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=469748) , that knows more invocations but can't use them all in a day.

Actually yes, it would be a bit overpowering.

A) As mentioned earlier, they would be nigh invincible once that ability kicked in. Even if it's simply 1 hp's / round it's more than anyone else gets. When you get it, you get it for 2 minutes, which if outside combat -should- heal you completely up. In combat, you get 2 hp's back a round. No need for it to be active all the time.

B) Again, it would be for the simple reason they get so many other abilities to make up for it. If perhaps they didn't get half of what they get (DR / cold iron, detect magic / will, energy resistance of 2 types at 5 then 10, the ability to always take 10 on using a magic item, as well when making a magic item to have the ability to "trick" the magic if you don't have access to the spell. Can we say Ring of 9 lives anyone? Staff of Healing mayhaps? Helm of True Sight?

Tons of magic items suddenly open up for the Warlock to make at lvl 12 and all they have to do outside expend the xp and have the proper creation feat is make a UMD roll (which is a class skill for them).

I'd say the class makes up for those two abilities to be limited like they are.

Personally, I don't know that I'd be too interested in the altered warlock class. It'd mean taking away some of those other abilities and I tell ya, they're useful.

In short I'd say yes on both accounts.

The warlock already competes with both of these classes.
Like the sorcerer, he has amazing endurance, being able to throw his EB and invocations around all day and complete flexibility to pick and chose between the few invocations he knows.

The only thing that keeps him from blowing them out of the water is that he is limited to so few invocations. You give him access to all of the shape and essence invocations, opening him up to the power and flexibilty they offer plus de facto granting him more of the spell-like invocations and the only shadow on the game will be his.

Yes, and yes. This makes a balanced class broken as all hell.
