| Ghilz01-31-07, 07:07 PM | My friends and I are playing a campaign involving numerous explanar beings. After reading the Fiendish Codex 2 (and what a good reading that was) I started pondering an Imp-like Wizard. (I picked the wizard as I envisioned these particular devils as researchers in Arcane Magic, who find new ways to use and fashion the divine magic extracted from the damned, creating to benefit themselves and their superiors, as well as trading these spells with mortals willing to damn themselves for a bit of power. It thus seemed like the wizard class, with its spellbook and mechanics, acted as a better basis for such a breed of devils then the sorcerer class.) Using the fiendish codex, the complete arcane, and the imp's profile in Savage Species, I started to work on making a Tiny winged devil who uses spell in a manner similar to a Wizard. Now, my real only problem so far is that I've failed to come up with a proper substitute for the Wizard's Familiar and the associated abilities. I am pondering if anyone here as any insight/inspiration to offer, for a proper substitute ability. Looking for something with a diabolical feel to it. |
