I've got my character currently as a Level 1 Fighter, and I now want to multi-class as a Level 1 Fighter / Level 1 Barbarian. I understand most of it, but when I get to changing the Base Attack Bonus and the Base Saves for Fort, Ref and Will, I'm not sure what to do.

As a Level 1 Fighter, my Base Attack Bonus is +1. Now I want to get one level of Barbarian, it says I get +1 BAB. Does this now mean I only have +1 BAB or do I add them to get +2 BAB.

Then next time I level up, I'll get another level of Barbarian (it says +2). Is my Character Level 3 Base Attack Bonus +2 or +3?

Thanks for any help.

You add BABs from various classes, so fighter 1 / barbarian 1 has BAB +2. Same goes for saves btw.

and remember that when you have a grand total BaB of +6, you start getting a second attack with a BaB of +1, but only during a full-round attack.
