My third go at a prc, the babbling prophet, or, if you prefer, those who babble.

Those Who Babble (The Babbling Prophet)

There are few things in the realms that incite such terror that they can shatter the very minds of a man. It is said that powerful fiends can destroy a man’s reality, and that the dark speech, the foulest of damnable things to come from the pit, can drive a man to the very edge of reality. I have heard those black words before, and I pray to any god that I never suffer through them again. Though, you must wonder, what happens to these men and women, who have been damned with insanity, when they return from the edge? - Azar

When a man returns from the edge of oblivion, and he finds there is nothing left of himself, there is no lament for his tragedy, no requiem to remember and honor what he has lost. He is a shell, an empty thing filled with doubt, with fear, left without the ability to grasp the reality that surrounds him.
Those who babble were once powerful eldritch masters, or great champions of hallowed might. They lost their sanity, and their humanity, through use of the dark speech. After invoking those tainted and poisonous words for long enough, it had driven them to the edge of oblivion. Now they return, as prophets of coming doom, cloaked in insanity and suffering..

Requirements:
Alignment: any evil
Feats: Dark Speech
Base will save: +5
Perform (epic poem/story): 4 ranks
Special: The babbling prophet must have been reduced to 0 charisma through use of the Dark Speech feat.

Hit Dice: d6
Base attack bonus: as a Wizard
Saves: as a Wizard
Skills: The babbling prophet’s skills are: Bluff (cha), Intimidate (cha), Knowledge (history) (int), Perform (epic poem/story) (cha), Speak Language*, Use Magic Device (cha)
Skill points at each level: 2 + int modifier
*Those who babble do not have to be trained to learn a new language

1 Madness, unpredictable insanity

2 Taint of madness

3 Behold the black speech

4 Tongue of the unknown

5 Grim fate

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Those who babble are proficient with no armor or shields, and no new weapons.

Madness: The babbling prophet has been tainted (or blessed) by the touch of madness. He can no longer be afflicted by the confusion, lesser confusion, and insanity spells or spell like affects except for the unpredictable insanity ability.

Furthermore, the babbling prophet uses his charisma modifier on will saves in place of his wisdom modifier. He receives a +4 profane bonus to charisma, but suffers a -8 penalty to wisdom. If the babbling prophet is ever cured of his ailments (i.e.: through a wish or miracle spell), he looses his profane charisma increase, and gains a +4 bonus to wisdom (the existing -4 penalty to wisdom is irreversible, one cannot walk away from madness itself unscathed).

Unpredictable Insanity: Though the babbling prophet has survived his encounter with the taint of insanity, it can strike back in full force at any time, especially in a dire or otherwise life threatening situation. This can be considered a blessing, for whenever the babbling prophet would be afflicted by a fear effect, he is confused instead. This temporary confusion lasts as long as the previous fear affect would have.

Whenever the babbling prophet is damaged he must succeed at a will save (DC 10 + the damage dealt) or be affected by a confusion spell cast as a sorcerer of 12th level. If the babbling prophet suffers sub-dual damage the will save is DC 10.

Taint of Madness: Those who babble are a horrifying thing to behold. They cloak themselves in filth and trash, wandering the unwelcoming lands they once knew. Their limbs twist and shake without warning, their speech can slow to a retarded tempo, and then speed until it is just a string of incoherent babble. Their very flesh and bones twist and warp, giving them a nightmarish look of eternal misery. At 2nd level the babbling prophet gains the Willing Deformity feat for free, even if he did not meet the pre-requisites.

Behold the Black Speech: By now, the corruption of a babbling prophet’s soul is nearly complete. All that runs through them is darkness and taint, flowing from their mouths as a string of black and smattered words, the Dark Speech. Those who babble no longer suffer temporary charisma damage when using the Dread ability of the dark speech.

Tongue of the Unknown: The babbling prophet now gains a supernatural use of the dark speech. By uttering words of death and despair under his breath, he can curse an individual with black and vile taint. Once per day per class level, the babbling prophet can utter words of malice under his breath to a single individual. The target must succeed at a will save (DC 10 + the Babbling Prophet’s class level + his charisma modifier) or be afflicted as though a Bestow Curse spell had been cast on him.

Grim Fate: At 5th level the babbling prophet can evoke smatterings of the dark speech so wicked and powerful that even the arch dukes of hell and demon princes fear the tongue. Once per day, the babbling prophet can evoke words of unholy terror and vile energies, damning one opponent to an unforeseen fate. The target must succeed at a will save (DC 15 + the babbling prophet’s Cha modifier) or be condemned to death within the next 2d6 hours. The only way to end the affliction is with a wish or miracle spell followed immediately with a remove curse spell. This ability is both physically and mentally draining to the babbling prophet, and he suffers 1d4 temporary charisma and constitution damage. If the saving throw is successful, the target is still under the effect of a Bestow Greater Curse spell.

Death usually occurs in an unexpected way, such as by a crippling disease or heart attack. Sometimes even a freak accident could be to blame. It’s all up to the DM’s imagination.

Any critism would be more than welcome.

Seems nice.

I suggest you change all DCs to 10+Class level+Charisma mod, and make the second one partial- if the ST for Grim Fate is succesful, the target is effected as if by Greater Curse spell.
