| braethias01-09-06, 06:35 PM | i got bored, so i crafted a base class. it is very similar to the fighter, (i love me fighter. i loves them good.) nothing fancy; d10 hit die, 2 skill points per level, climb, craft, jump, intimidate, swim, ride class skills, proficient with light, medium, heavy armor, simple and martial weapons, and no shields. and every 3rd level (including the first) you gain a fighter bonus feat and +1d6 sneak attack. (like the rogues) you wind up with +7d6 sneak attack, and 7 bonus feats, as opposed to a rogues +10d6 and a bunch of nifty stuff, and 7 feats instead of the fighters 11. i know it may seem overpowered at first, but me class construction engine told me otherwise. your thoughts? |
| Boshi01-09-06, 09:23 PM | Looks OK overall, except I'd change how things advance to people aren't as tempted to dip in it. Also seems kind of pointless. Why not just be a fighter/rogue? |
| braethias01-11-06, 05:48 PM | dont want to give up that (minor) bonus to BaB after having done so. i like the rogues sneak attack, but the flexibility of the fighters feats. was going to make a rogue with a bigger hit die and feats, but then i realized that would just be a fighter with sneak attack. |
| Archtyrant Terevoth01-11-06, 06:21 PM | I'm assuming this has fighter BaB too? Well it's way better than a fighter. At 20th level you're trading 4 feats for +7d6 sneak attack. This guy is going to be inflicting crazy amounts of damage without any of the rogue's drawbacks. |
