Balance of Skull Clan Hunter [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-07-04, 12:12 AM Is it just me, or is the Skull Clan Hunter a little too powerful? One of my players has asked to use it, but I was reading through it, and I can't see any reason *not* to take it. I mean, it gives the ability to sneak attack undead, immunity to paralysis, energy drain, and a bunch of other stuff, the ability to pierce any damage reduction, and extra abilities.

Why would anyone use the Hunter of the Dead prestige class, with the Skull Clan Hunter around?

Does anyone have experience using this one in a game?

12-07-04, 01:52 AM I don't know what the Skull Clan Hunter is, but I can tell you right now that no, I don't see a reason for anyone to use Hunter of the Dead.
