| sdragon198401-04-06, 04:54 PM | im thinking of changing the hit die to d10, and in place allowing one bonus feat.... i realize this is closer to the fighter, and without looking, i cant tell if this would underpower the barbarian......... in case you couldnt tell, im incredibly new to this :whatsthis edit: o yea, and if anybody has samples of barbarian variants, id love to see them, and an explaination of how theyd be balanced would be wonderful :D |
| q'afuu01-04-06, 05:32 PM | A bonus feat at which level? You'd have to rummage around with the class benefits in order not to overload the lower levels. Personally, I don't see the point. If you want an extra feat, play a human. Or multiclass into fighter. In any case, reducing the hit die to 1d10 instead of 1d10 doesn't balance out with a bonus feat, IMO. |
| sdragon198401-04-06, 05:50 PM | im assuming you meant 1d10 instead of 1d12, since barbarians use 1d12.......... like i said, im new, so if theres any suggestions on how to keep a balanced class variant, please let me know. edit: and i was thinking having the feat somewhere in the first three levels...... maybe third? |
