I have a player who wants to use a two-handed sword instead of two-weapons or bow... would the following be balanced:
2nd level: weapon focus
6th level: Power attack
11th level: weapon specialization, cleave

or:
2nd: power attack
6th: cleave
10th: Quickdraw + impored sunder

give me comments plz

One feat per would make much more sense, ie:

1: Power Attack
6: Cleave
11: Great Cleave

or

1: Cleave (remember, combat style doesn't require a preq)
6: Improved Overrun
11: Great Cleave

Yeah, there are other apropriate feats, but there are other apropriate TWF & Archery feats, too, and they're not built into the combat styles.

Remember that the combat style should complement FEB. Things like Rapid Shot and TWF do, because they let you double-up on the per-hit damage bonus. The same goes for (Great)Cleave.

Here's what I think works rather nicely:

2nd: Power attack + Weapon focus
6th: Weapon Specialization
11th: Greater Focus

I had to rework some of the stats for the characters (I had no idea one of them was worth 32-point buy instead of 25... now, my question is...
A hammer combat style? I was thinking about
2nd - weapon focus
6th - power attack
11th - Weapon specialization, greater weapon focus

OR
2nd - Power attack
6th - Improved sunder
11th - Weapon specialization

what do you think?

sounds like a munchkin-esque power gamer to me.

he should take the bow feat tree and use his feats for 2-handed sword feats.
everyone should have a ranged weapon anyway.

wha..? Could you explain further why it sounds like a munchkin esque? First of all, Im the one who've designed the characters and made up everything (we run it through msn so that's why, and the players isn't familiar with the system), so it's no munckin here. Im just wanting to know if it's balanced or not :D

I wouldnt add anything that is fighter exclusive because it ruins the little idea of fighter only feats. Drop Weapon Specialization and anything that requires X fighter levels.

2 Weapon Focus
6 Cleave
11 Improved Sunder

sounds fine to me.

Im not sure if cleave fits... its a warhammer, and I have a hard time seeing somebody going around and "cleaving" stuff with a hammer...

Don't think of it as cutting through them then. Just think of it as smashing them into paste :)

wha..? Could you explain further why it sounds like a munchkin esque?Modifying classes is always a little suspicious. A class like fighter gets bonus feats, and already tends to be 'dipped' or used as a 'base' for PrCs as a result. Swapping feats in a class is much like giving the player a choice of feats when the class is balanced with fixed feats in mind.

I don't think it looks /that/ muchnkinny, though, as the Ranger's other abilities really lend themselves more to TWF and Rapid Shot - anything that gets you more attacks/round.

IMHO, the Cleave, Improved Overrun, Great Cleave progression fits the spirit and relative usefulness of the combat styles.

Now, if you really wanted to get munchkiny, you wouldn't even change out the combat style feats at all, you'd just go with a TWF'ing Ranger using Greatsword + Armor Spikes.... ;)

2nd Level: Flurry(Grants Flurry of Blows like a monk, but only for the chosen weapon(I posted it a while ago))
6th: Great Cleave(I know I don't have cleave)
11th: Improved Critical

The problem is the lack of high level feats, and bountious low-level feats for THF
