in my homebrew world (i'll post a link later), i've altered the list of allowedc classes for balance but primarily flavor. in terms of fluff, the spirit shaman from CD is a perfect fit for this world, but i'm worried that it will stand head and shoulders above the rest. the caster classes are: Bard (ua variants available) druid (ua variants available) Wu Jen (as CArc except elemental mastery at level 5, and still gets spell secret at level 6) Battle Sorcerer (as UA) Psion Wilder Favored Soul Shugenja Celesital Summoner (i'll post a link later, captures and control monsters, has no spellcasting) i've always felt that spirit shaman was balanced in a campaign with clerics and wizards, but with them gone, can the other classes compete with the shaman? if not, is there a fix other than not using shaman?
