barb speed increase [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-22-04, 07:13 PM ok, I tried searching the forums, but after no luck, I will just post this although I am sure it was posted before.

If I am a 8th level Barb, in 3.0 rules, and I buy boots of springing and striding, and I am human, does that give me a speed of 70 or 80?

my base is 30 ft... so do I double for the boots, than add +10 for my class... (30X2)+10=70

or add 10 than double...
(30+10)x2 for 80

06-22-04, 08:51 PM A character with Boots of S&S moves at double his/her normal speed. For a human barbarian, that normal speed is 40 ft. With the boots, that becomes 80 ft.
