Fnep Wigglesworth 11-06-04, 09:23 AM	Just a quick question about rage and hp. When a Barb. goes unconscious it stops raging therefore the extra hp he gains through it goes away right? Does that mean that evertime he hits -1 he loses the extra hp (and most likely bringing him down to -10) and dies automaticaly. I know this has to be wrong, if someone could explain it to me better. Unless it acts as temporary hp and when you stop raging your hp stays the same... Fnep

Sacrusha 11-06-04, 09:46 AM	I do not know of a rule that says unconsciousness stops rage, and I doubt it exists, because of exactly the problem Fnep mentioned. But if you use this as a house rule, I recommend using the following house rule as well: If a character’s Constitution score drops, then he loses 1 hit point per Hit Die for every point by which his Constitution modifier drops. A hit point score can’t be reduced by Constitution damage or drain to less than 1 hit point per Hit Die.House rule: Replace "damage or drain" with "loss".
Fnep Wigglesworth 11-06-04, 10:06 AM	That does well till you hit lvl 10 where it's at least 10hp lost and poof, you're dead. I think this is a major flaw. with the mighty rage or wahtnot, giving +8 to con. By lvl 20 you lose 4 hp per lvl, so in this case 80. That would mean I can't be reduced to 70 or lower or I die auto. It doesn't make sense that there would be such a big drawback to the thing. of course this wouldn't happen if you use the 1hp per hit dice. hmm
Jell_Moo 11-06-04, 10:32 AM	Nothing in the description of Rage says that the Rage end when the Barbarian loses conciousness. While I can certainly see how somebody could interpret it that way, such an interpretation would be a House Rule.

Hehe...I keep picturing this big, bad barbarian, sleeping with this horrible scowl on his face, growling...his arms and legs twitching like my dog's do when she's dreaming. "Look, Og's killing orcs in his dreams! Aww...he looks so cute when he's sleep-raging!" :D And, yes, I know we're talking about going unconscious at 0 hp, not sleeping.
