I came up with a feat build for a barbarian that purely concentrates on their rage and damage dealing, and I need some imput. The build is primarily based on the characters rage ability.

Feat List
Blazing Berzerker
Frozen Berserker
Reckless Rage
Destructive Rage ( This is only used for when the party cant get through a door )
Extra Rage
Extend Rage
Instantaneous Rage
Monkey Grip ( For the use of Bigger Weapons )

Let me know any suggestions that you may have for this build. I need all the imput I can get for this is my next character.

I recommend dropping Monkey Grip and Destructive Rage.

The consensus around here seems to be that wielding oversized weapons is inefficient and a waste of a feat.

Destructive Rage is more or less useless since you can achieve virtually the same thing by just sundering doors or objects with an adamantine weapon. If the object in question is strong enough to withstand the adamantine weapon, then that +8 to strength checks probably isn't going to do you any good anyways. The only reason I could think of to take such a feat is if it were a prerequisite for a better feat, but I can't think of any.

Blazing and Frozen Berserker are interesting in that it doesn't say anywhere that you can't use both at the same time, which effectively makes you immune to both cold and fire damage. However, Blazing Berserker is a regional feat, so you may have some trouble filling that prerequisite.

Extra and Extended Rage may vary in usefulness depending on your DM's style. If your game is combat heavy and typically has many encounters per session, then Extra Rage is probably a good idea. Likewise, if you find yourself in abnormally long encounters often, then Extended Rage would also be a good idea as nobody likes to run out of rage in the middle of a battle.

In my opinion, Instantaneous Rage is marginally useful. If you are going to concentrate purely on rage, then you are probably going to rage at the most convenient opputunity, which makes this feat only useful in the first round of battle before your action. However, I can see how you might use it to boost your will save against enchantment spells since it at least doubles the base save depending on barbarian level.

Speaking of will saves, you might want to look into Iron Will since will saves tend to be the Achille's Heel of the Barbarian.

And of course, Power Attack is almost always a must.

These are just some suggestions. However, I would like to point out that even if you're focusing on rage, just picking feats that have the word rage in them generally is not a good idea. It would serve you well if you investigated other feats that would give your barbarian at least a little more well-rounded abilities.

First of all what race are you going to play and are you going to play a straight 20 Barbarian or 10 Barbarian 10 Frenzied Berserker. I suggest the 10/10 with this set of feats

Feat List
Power Attack
Cleave
Intimidating Rage
Destructive Rage
Weapon Focus (Great Axe)
Monkey Grip ( Use a bigger Great Axe [3d6 damage])
Greater Resiliency x2

Skills
Focus on Intimidate and put some points in spot so people can't suprise you as much.

With that setup at 20th level for every -1 you take for your power attack feat you recieve +4, 3d6+ 1-1/2 strength +20 (power attack dmg) for a -6 (-2 weapon size +1 Weapon focus -5 power attack) to your base attack. Then a x3 crit you can do the math.

I Have a 100% barbarian and I need help to chose my Feats.

Human Barbarian Lvl 8
------------------------
Power Attack
Cleave
Weapon Focus (Great Axe)
Power Critical

I`m not sure if Power Critical was the best choice.

Any suggestions?

PS.: I`m using the same topic cause i dont want to open another topic.:D :D

You could try and use the monkey grip feat to use a larger weapon, Greater Resiliency to increase your damage reduction, Extra rage for more uses per day of your rage or any other rage based feats.

Extend rage isn't really all that useful, assuming you start off with a decent con score, the duration of the rage should be sufficient to see you through the typical encounter.

Extra rage is great at low lvs, when you still have limited rage attempts. You can always retrain it out at lv8 or so.:)
