I was looking through the drunken master PrC and I saw the line "Students tell of a barbarian from the north who made an excelent Drunken master." That's a good idea I thought to myself until I looked at the prereqs for drunken master:
Skills : tumble 8 ranks
"Well that takes a while, but a Bbn could do it."
Feats: Dodge Great fortitude, Imp. Unarmed Strike
"Again it could be done"
Special Flurry of Blows ability, evasion ablity and must be chosen by existing drunken masters.
"Flurry of blows?"

So I ask you:
How can a Barbarian get into this class without completly breaking his alignment and going monk?
I'm considering just Ignoring that 1 requirement, then it's a hassle but a Bbn/Rog or a Bbn/Brd could easily meet the requirements. I don't know why the Flury of blows is there at all, Its not used in the Drunken master's abilities. Does dropping this break anything?
I like the idea of a drunken barbarian, but is Drink like a demon too much when added to an already raging barbarian?

Thanks all

An angry drunk (possibly one of the worst cases) is too awesome an idea for this not to be houseruled somehow.

My idea:

- get a few rogue levels for evasion (2+)
- get in the Shou Disciple PrC (Unapproachable east, non-chaotic) for flurry - as a bonus, your flurry seems to work in light armor, check the proficiency column - 1+, ideally 5 (flurry with all melee weapons, bonus to dodge)
- I would probably use a Barb 2/rogue3/shou disciple 5 to be able to flurry with anything melee, which would probably include improvised weapons as well. You will be very starved for feats, though, so fighter 1 or 2/barb 2 or 1/rogue 2 might be better. I like barb 2 for the uncanny dodge, though.

OR, much better:

- Get yourself the 3.0 book where the original Drunken master was (sword and fist iirc)
- Ask the DM if something, especially not a spellcaster, deserves to be nerfed halfway to unholy oblivion like that
- say a joint prayer for the person responsible for this and adapt the PrC, bringing it to 3.5 rules.

Thanks for the Shou Diciple tip I haven't seen that PrC I'll have to look for it. Drunken Rage here I come
After 1 drink -2AC +6 Str +4 Con -2 Wis -2Int
After 6 drinks -2AC +10 Str +10 Con -12 Wis -12 Int :evillaugh
I'll be unstoppable except by any spell with a will saving throw, or any kind of words that might need to be read.

Touch of idiocy will probably drive you unconscious, though. I've seen it used once on a hydra and let me tell you, it makes you reconsider your dump stats.
