Radin Of The Justice 04-27-05, 09:19 PM	Ok so this is my first time playing a barbarian. I just made a pretty basic barbarian that has the bear warrior Prc And reaping mauler prc. im level 5 barbarian, 6 levels bear warrior, 5 levels reaping mauler. now so far i went for the whole unarmed attack thing with a monks belt, and i also have a greataxe just incase. Now im used to playing paladins, and i must say its a good deal different. im used to protection, smiting, turning, and even some spells. not to mention having my charisma mod on saving throws. So i would like to ask for any and all advice you can give on playing a barbarian. thank you in advance for the help.
god the giant 04-28-05, 08:49 PM	well this is the best advice i can give you, advance more in barbarian and get greater rage. oh yeah and rage in almost every battle.

I'm pretty sure you need a BAB of 7.
Radin Of The Justice 04-28-05, 09:54 PM	yea i listed those in the wrong order see i had 5 in barbarian. then took the full five levels in reaping mauler. then i moved on to bear warrior which i am now advancing

Ithamar 05-05-05, 11:44 AM	Don't the abilities of Reaping Mauler only work if you are medium or small size? If I'm correct, Bear Warrior turns you into a large bear, and you would lose some of those abilities. Or am I completely off base? :confused:

Clever Wrestling, a prereq for Reaping Mauler, requires you to be Medium or Small. But Bear Warrior doesn't permanently make you a large bear, only during Raging, at which point, you designate if you want to be a bear or not. But, Reaping Mauler's abilities aren't negated when you become a Large Bear.
Jell_Moo 05-05-05, 12:29 PM	Forget about continuing as a Bear Warrior. Pick up the Warshaper PrC. It gives you all the benefits that thos last 5 levels of Bear Warrior will, in 4 levels. It also gives you a slew of really, really, really good other abilities on top of em.
Radin Of The Justice 05-05-05, 10:21 PM	well id like to thank you all for the advice. i found it all pretty usefull in one way or anouther. now just as an update ive asked the dm about some of those prestiege classes you guys have mentioned. one problem is you can only take two prc he said. this is a house rule and apperently other players have mad requests like this already. so o well i sappose. but i did like the warshaper idea. but keep any suggestions coming.
