| Tyler908-19-05, 08:12 PM | if you were a barbarian at 5th level would you swich to a Ranger class, or would you be somthing different, or would you just not change classes? I want your OPINION! |
| Salla08-19-05, 08:21 PM | It would depend on my character concept, but probably not. Barbarians usually operate best when they combine Rage and Power Attack, which is best served with a two-handed weapon. The Ranger doesn't really get much that combos well with Power Attack. Although one level to scoop up Track might be worth it. |

| Faragon08-19-05, 08:27 PM | I'd ready the character to take a level of BearWarrior, then a few levels in Warshaper. Just for fun :D |

| Mad Mage08-19-05, 08:35 PM | Yes, I'd do Barb/Rang. A raging tracker w/ damage bonuses to certain creatures? Nifty. |
| Tyler908-19-05, 08:37 PM | would you go up in a few levels? |
| ninjarabbit08-19-05, 09:36 PM | You could take brutal throw and power throw and rapid shot from ranger and be a raging thrower though I'd also recommend a couple of fighter levels to cover the feats. |
| Quirriff08-19-05, 10:41 PM | Ranger Favoured Enemy bonus could be useful (you could select humanoid[human]), you gain useful class skills and many skill points, that is also a plus. |
| Faragon08-19-05, 10:49 PM | But would you be a ranger?Not really :) |
| Tyler908-20-05, 02:40 PM | I just have a friend that wants to do this and, he will not put it on the boards for some reason so I had to do it for him. |
| Norhg08-20-05, 02:56 PM | Am I a savage barbarian or not? Perhaps I had be like William Wallace and take fighter levels. Or I might be one who is part of nature, then I would take ranger... Otherwise I might be more civilized and take a 'knight' like prestige class except... Without using a mount. Purpledragon knight anyone? Do they work with Barbarians? That motavating shout would be nifty on a barbarian... |

I wound suggust to reroll those rolls. |
| Adlar Hodge08-20-05, 09:14 PM | Depending on the feats the Barbarian already has yeah I would take Ranger levels. Heck...I've made a dual axe wielding half-elf Barbarian/Ranger before. It turned out really well too. If you do look at the Rage variant in Unearthed Arcana as an option. |
