If I were to create a Gestalt Human Barbarian/Rouge, would it be illiterate? The funny thing about it is, my DM is suggesting that I make kind of a vatiant on the Human race, it would still be Human but it would be a little person, so it would racial charataristics of a Halfling. So the idea behind the a Barbarian/Rouge is a thief that can, given the situation, rage and be a lot stronger.

No, a barbarian who picks up a level in any other class automatically becomes literate. And a class who picks up barbarian does not become illiterate. Gestalt you could effectively call it as picking up a level of rogue each level.

I have to admit, the thread title made me laugh.

Its spell rogue.. rouge is a color and/or makeup.
