grodech 01-14-04, 02:35 PM	Trying to help a kid in our group create a bard character. In the class skills list, it lists Speak Language. I'm a little confused as to what this is. Does this simply mean that the bard can use skill points to pick up a new language, or does it mean he can gain rank in speaking a language? From what I understood of a language, you either spoke it or you didn't, and unless you were illiterate (barbarian), you could read and write it as well. Can someone help clear this up for me?
kedi 01-14-04, 02:46 PM	Speak Language allows you to speak another language (any) you just don’t speak. It costs 1 point to classes like wizard and bard, 2 for others. Investing 1 or 2 (if its not a class skill, you need to speand 2 points) points to this skill, you can speak and write the language you choose.

Correction, only the bard has Speak Language as a skill.
